Well said, Gloria, well Said. I love the "loud talking church" concept... that's for me too!

I agree with the comments shared by George and Harper and Gloria. Even though I was disappointed not to hear a sermon and did not get to gather for coffee with the parishioners, the service and all we learned about the St. Peter's made our visit most enjoyable. It is wonderful to see a church full of so much activitivy and I understand that they in addition to all the improvements in their physical plant, they have been working for many years now in growing in their community and their fellowship. As for the children, their footsteps into the church and their chatter during the latter part of the service, it was a beautiful noise. I would definitely recommend this church to someone church shopping and I will look forward to returning on a day when there will be a sermon.

I really enjoyed this church. I felt welcome from the minute I walked in. It's a very warm environment with lots of things going on in the building. We were made to feel welcome almost as soon as we sat down and were identified as newcomers and received the latest copy of St. Peter's newsletter as well as their annual report. Additionally, we were collectivey welcomed by Rev Price during the service - it appears our fame may be spreading.

As commented earlier by George, we did not get to hear Rev Price preach nor were we able to share the service with the Church of the Deaf. We will definitely be back.

Since I am personally struggling with how to get my daughter and grandsons to church more than twice a year, I was especially impressed with how involved the children were in various segments of the worship service. My grandsons are intimidated by what they refer to as a "quiet church" and tell me they need to go to a "loud talking church". St. Peter's is a "loud talking church" that warmly embraces all of the noise and motion that is part of chldren. I only wish my grandchildren were here in Western New York so I could have them share in your worship experience.

The family of St. Peter's is doing things right - things that will continue to keep both this congregation and the physical plant "successful" and growing. It's especially a great place for families with children from babies through high school.

Just a quick chime in. If anyone reading our reviews is looking for a family friendly congregation, this is it. During today's service, not before or after but during, one young member of the congregation was congratulated by Rev. Price for recently becoming an Eagle Scout. Looking around as the parishioners applauded him, you can see the pride on everyone's face and appreciation of how hard it is to earn this rank. You just knew they all knew him. Nice.
We didn't choose the best time for our visit to St. Peter's. We missed a sermon, the choir and The Church of the Deaf, Ephphatha.
Our group will visit St. Peter's again. We felt cheated out of something really good here.

It was a pleasure to visit and join in fellowship with St. Peter’s this morning, and to participate with them in a Holy Eucharist and Healing Service. The 10:00 AM Family Service highlighted the involvement of their young people and it’s wonderful to see a plant that has been successful in that regard. Although some might find the children distracting at times, it should be remembered that this was a family service. In my humble opinion, the future reward of their participation far outweighs any perceived distraction.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to hear Rev. Barbara Price preach. In lieu of a sermon we were presented with Part 1 of the “State of the Church” report. I always look forward to a good sermon but I must say Rev. Price’s report gave a good indication of how active, hard working and successful this church has become. The recent renovations have given this plant a very well cared for look and they certainly should be proud of their accomplishments.

The attendance was around 50 which included approximately 15 children and 8 members of our Holy Apostles group. A service guide was provided but, as a first time visitor, it was a bit confusing with the italic side notes and inserts.

It should be noted that this church has a website that is kept current and provides many resources to keep its members up to date and informed.

All in all, it was a wonderful church experience that would appeal to anyone, especially families, looking to join an active, energetic and hard working congregation.

God bless…
