I want to belong to this church. From the moment I walked through the wrong door, I felt welcomed. Everyone...really...everyone was very gracious and friendly. I was even offered hugs during the "peace". During the announcements, our group was given special recognition by the Senior Warden, Patrick, who allowed us a moment to say something about our group the the rest of the congregation.
A gentleman, maybe the usher, remembered seeing me come in the wrong way and made a point to see that I had a worship guide. I thought that was nice.
After the service, which was traditional, we shared coffee and breakfast with everyone. Yes, I said breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, danish, donuts....it was all there and made fresh on the spot.
There's much more, and I'll continue tomorrow.
