Here goes. First, chop up a medium onion and place in skillet with about 4 tbsp. olive oil. Cook until the edges turn golden brown. Then add garlic, how much depends on your taste. I put 4-5 cloves in using a garlic press. This you cook for maybe 30-45 seconds..until fragrant. Then, throw some red wine in and allow it to cook down. Maybe a 1/2 cup. Sample the wine first. It should have a little sweetness to it. Have a sip for me.

New York Cheesecake
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
3 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp butter or margarine, melted
5 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
Mix crumbs, 3 Tbsp sugar and butter; press onto bottom of 9-inch spring form pan. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes.
Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, flour and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition, just until blended. Blend in sour cream. Pour over crust.
Bake 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until center is almost set.
Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or over night.
Top with Cherry pie filling and garnish, if desired.

After some discussion last Sunday, it became obvious that every good website should have a section for favorite recipes. I’ve added a couple of my favs and I’ll be looking to have some of you give me some of yours. After all, if we’re going to be traveling around visiting all these churches, we should be well nourished.
Bon Appetit
